Week 1

March 12, 2018

Hi !! It's the first week of 'Kem Tekno Belajar'. We met with year 6 students mainly from Bangsar. They have their own 'abang/kakak angkat' that is paired with them. Eventhough my members already have their 'adik angkat' to cheer on, me and some of my friend still takda 'adik angkat' because we have some difficulty with transport and their parents. I helped my team handling their small brothers and sisters in the program. We played few ice breaking games to help them know each other cause they will be meeting each other for 6 weeks.

Week 2

March 19, 2018

Hello guys ! This week i dah dapat new 'adik angkat' and her name is Kyra Nur Umairah. She is younger than other student, she is 10 years old. Eventhough, she missed the ice breaking slot but she's doing well with the other kids. We taught them about how to search in Google efficiently. We gave a task to create a few slide using PowerPoint. They can pick any topic they want and they can use Google to get more informations. After they finished, we pick the best slides to be presented infront. In the 3 hours lesson, we can see that children enjoyed creating their own slide by using their creativity.

Week 3

April 2 , 2018

We started to help them register the subscription of ACE i-Learning for 6 month. The ACE i-Learning is a learning platform which allow children to study, revision and even doing exercise for all subjects. We teach them how the platform actually works and explore the function on the note page. Besides that, we also help their parents to register an account which allow parents to observe their kid's academic performance.

Week 4

April 9 , 2018

After they have use the platform for a week, we start to teach them how to use some function like put sticky notes beside the notes prepared or use the existing mind map. Mind map is a diagram used to visually organize information which allow students to visualise and externalise concepts and understand the connections between different ideas. That's why we are going to teach them how to create a useful mind map. We give them some topics to choose and create a mind map based on that topic. I gave Kyra some homework on few subjects so i can check her score next week and detect her weak subject.

Week 5

April 16 , 2018

It's week 6! Kyra's been doing well with homework last week. However, she told me that she did not like Science and Math subject. That is the subject i need to teach her more. I can see all of the children can be good friends, since this is the second last week of the program they wanted to take photo for their memory. While improving their academics, they made new friends too ! We are glad that our program really helped them.

April 30 , 2018

This is the last week for Kem Tekno Belajar, it is very gratifying moment when I am able to see that our effort to help Kyra in academics achieved. I hope knowledge that i share with Kyra and other kids will be able to help them growing into a leader.We have prepared certificate for the childrens and Kyra also got her own certificate for joining this program. It was so fun meeting them every Monday.
